Fix you

"you, me and dupree" is one of my favorite movies. It's been on HBO for a while and I have watched it more than 5 times already. I found a blog about this movie and the author of the blog says that "This movie is simply beautiful." He also comments on one sentence in the movie "I work to live not live to work!" saying "it's the quality of life."

That's something I needed to hear. Since I graduated school last December, I was always wondering what does work mean to me, and what do I wanna do for future. Here it is. I wanna work to live. I wanna do something makes me happy, makes my life beautiful. Unfortunately I am not those who knew what they wanted to be since 10. I wasn't sure what I wanna do when I chose my major in college. But I do know what makes me happy and what doesn't. I will listen to my heart and follow what I feel. I have learned and there are tons of things I will learn. I just need little more time to make my mind.

San Francisco Olympic Torch Relay

As well as all the news programs were occupied with live report of Olympic torch run in San Francisco yesterday, the event dominated many of San Franciscans conversation all day yesterday and today. Even though I didn't go out to the torch run, after watching the event whole time on TV I was disappointed in San Francisco. As you can see on my title of this blog, I love San Francisco, because of its liberty and understanding to all kinds of religions, ethnicity, believes, or whatsoever. Chinese people in San Francisco must be excited by Olympic in their home country, moreover, San Francisco was picked for only one city in North America. They have rights of willing to see it and be proud of it. Also Tibetans and hundreds protesters whose home country is invaded by China have rights to say "No way Olympic in China." I understand that. But what the embarrassing San Francisco did to them. Police beat up civilians who just wanted say their believes out loud. The president of San Francisco, hot, changed the route of torch run, even though thousands of audiences came just to see it. The torch runner, protected by many polices, was running pathetically.

Although I know all those are for individuals' safety, I would like to say this out loud; No matter what you guys say, San Francisco is for those who want liberty and rights. You just can't take that. I can't stop wondering if there was no other way to prevent expected violence and chaos. If there was no way giving both Chinese people and protesters chances to speak out.

I love this city, where the crazy hippies and minorities are accepted, because this city in some way leads the world. Everyone is accepted. Gays, Jews, homeless, no matter what you are, you are accepted in this city. I really hope that they are not changing their way. I want San Francisco to be the coolest city in next million years.

Honey

I like coffee with half-and-half and two packages of Splenda, occasionally soy latte, but since my discovery of usefulness of honey, I like coffee with half-and-half and honey better. It tastes smoother. I also use honey for my breakfast with three kinds of berry granola and plain yogurt. I am addicted to honey.

Since I consume more-than-average honey recently, I looked up for the health benefits of honey online. According to this website, honey is good for allegies, skin, digestion, cold, insomnia, high blood pressure, and so forth. It is less calories than sugar and there is a significant difference in how fructose and glucose are contained. It's easy for sugar to become fat, and for honey to be energy.

As I was looking up for the artile about honey, I saw only advantages to eat honey. It tastes good and with multiple health benefits, why don't I eat honey, right?

Blackberry tea + Honey = Smile

I am a big fan of Trader Joe's. Their food is real, that's what I think. One of my favorites is their various kinds of tea. "Ginger yogi tea" had been my every night drink until I found this "blackberry tea." It's like a TAZO tea passion flavor in purple bag at Starbucks. From this little tiny tea bag, very strong flavor comes out with dark purple color. It smells and tastes like grapefruit or some kind of citrus fruits. This tea its own is really good, but I like it with honey better. A little sweetness of honey makes tea just perfect.

Cafe Lovers

San Francisco is the most cafes populated city in the world; however, most of them are not franchise; therefore, there are various kinds of them and each one has unique taste.

Even though there are too many to pick one, well, if you insist, one of my most favorite cafes in San Francisco would be Blue Danube, which is on Clement and 5th Avenue in Richmond.

This place is the Asian taste cafe, obviously it is in the middle of the second China town in SF. Ancient clothes with gold sparkles and the pictures hanging on the wall make you feel in Thailand or Indonesia (even though I have never been to either of those...) Very tiny but open place with outside tables. If you go there when sun out, it is nice and sunny. Coffees and small dishes are descent, but this Asian guy at casher is very nice and lovely. He always talks to customers and makes some jokes. There are small tables and two couches. Especially weekends, there are many people squeezing on those couches, but since they are chill-out people, it doesn't seem to bother them.
